Portefeuille Housing

We build for the city we want to be. That is why Delft's ambition is to build another 15,000 homes. Meanwhile, there is little space in Delft and demand in many segments is higher than supply. The housing portfolio is concerned with the question: Where, how and in what form are we going to build more houses in Delft for the city we want to be? STIP sees the solution among other things by building upwards where it suits, for example on the banks of the Schie, or with innovative forms of housing such as 'Friends' contracts whereby several adults can rent a house together. We also believe that mixed neighbourhoods are an important principle, so that people see and speak to each other in order to achieve social cohesion. With regard to student housing, we therefore consider it important for the municipality to steer towards sufficient housing spread across the districts.
