Sanne Wolff
Hi! I'm Sanne Wolff, 18 years old, in my first year of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft, and a member of DSB. I'm proud to say I was born and raised in Delft.
What I love most about Delft is its friendly and open atmosphere. From the many markets, cafés, and restaurants to the wide range of events organized throughout the city, Delft truly feels alive. In summer, people gather along the Schie Canal or in the Delftse Hout to enjoy the beautiful weather and each other’s company.
Yet, Delft has the potential to be even better. It is a city rich in culture and overflowing with creative power, shaped by the people who live here. I believe it is essential to nurture this strength by creating space for initiatives that truly make Delft Delft. That means making culture accessible to everyone, giving creators and artists room to grow, and making it easier for entrepreneurs to start, innovate, and collaborate.
At the same time, we face a major challenge: the housing shortage. Young people who can't find affordable housing, elderly people who can't find appropriate housing, and families who are stuck in between.
I believe Delft can address these challenges by building sustainably upward, smartly repurposing vacant buildings, harnessing creativity, and showing courage. By viewing culture as a unifying force, supporting entrepreneurs, and fully committing to sufficient and affordable housing, Delft can move forward in a way that benefits everyone
Entrepreneurship, creativity, and perseverance are deeply rooted in the people of Delft and in the city itself. I am committed to helping build a Delft where culture flourishes, entrepreneurs are given opportunities, and everyone has a suitable place to live and truly feel at home.
