Delft’s history makes me proud! Whether it’s the beautiful stories that every building and every canal have carried with them for centuries, or the fascinating culture in Delft’s museums, I know few cities that continue to express their history as vividly as Delft does.

As a small city in a big world, we deliver top-level achievements, with a university and a knowledge economy that many cities would be jealous of. I feel proud that I have been studying in this city for a number of years already.

Yet I see things that could be improved. I see many young people in Delft who do not have the same opportunities that I do. They deserve council representation and attention, so that every opportunity is made available to them.

Moreover, through my part-time job I speak with many entrepreneurs and start-ups. They urgently need affordable locations for their businesses that drive the Delft economy.

I am eager to continue helping to write Delft’s story!
